John Fox a leading consultant in Africa had a chance to visit Malawi and had this to say ' We drove up North for 150km or so the scenery is very much like around Naivasha:flat savanah land with a number of volcanic cones which is not surprising because this is still the Great Rift Valley. Eventually you climb up the western wall and onto a high plateau with indigenous forests and new plantations like the approaches to Eldoret. What was different though was the surface of the road- no potholes for all the 480 km we travelled out from Lilongwe. There ware far less vehicles than Nairobi-eldoret road and Peter our Drive was the most disciplined i have ever had the pleasure to be driven by.'
They call Malawi the "warm heart of Africa".Warm it certainly is if talking about the weather and if talking about the people that seems pretty accurate, too. Some claim that Malawi is Africa's most beautiful country. Ad if you are looking for a quiet African Holiday, with the same Kaleidoscopic variety of Landscapes and even game parks as in Kenya with out the potholed roads and the company of many other tourists then Malawi could be well worth checking out (Daily Nation 27-05-07)
