Charleston Travel Kenya: Enableing Student Travel



A Kenya travel agency has launched a two-year student exchange program between Kenya and South Africa. Charleston Travel Agency has in the past eight years been able to take at least 200 students to South Africa. They are now planning to host 500 students this year alone form schools and colleges. The event dubbed "amakhosi the Place of Kings" is a holiday tour. The students will be able to enjoy the rich culture among the different ethnic groups among the South Africans like the Ndebele and the Zulu. Others get a chance to tour Kenya and the highlights are mainly the big five. 

As they cruise between Johannesburg, Cape town and Durban in a period of one week the students will experience the countries ragged coastline at the foot of majestic mountain ranges, the lush forests and ionic places such as the Apartheid museum, the cradle of humankind and Vilakazi Street in Soweto. They will also visit the man-made lake at the Sun City, the Robin Island where Nelson Mandela was detained, the famous Kwazulu Nataal province, the Table Mountains and many other historical grounds. Finally the will also have a chance to interact with students from a number of universities.

Chaleston travel Agnecy is partnering with the South African Tourism Board to facilitate the trips while in the Country
