Kenya safari FAQ's

Why we are so passionate about the cultural safari? Special Safari Offers.

After many years of offering

Africa Safari

wildlife safaris many visitors to Kenya keep on coming back over and over again and many want to the meet the Kenyan people see how they live and experience how it is to live in Africa. Tourists would like to know what do the locals eat where do they shop, what do they do for leisure? We at royal tours saw the need to bring the tourists closer to the local people. In turn the local people would benefit from the experience. Many tourists come and offer to contribute to the development of the local communities work with the poor, but there wares at rock bottom prices and share their experiences.

Is it better to do it alone or use a tour operator?

Many travelers feel it is costly using a tour operator and prefer to go it alone especially if they are visiting a country a second time. I is usually more costly to make your own arrangements since most tour operators will get special discount rates from service providers which they usually pass on to repeat customer. It would be better to ask your agent to give you a discount travel voucher instead.

Why are some tour operators in Kenya charging rates as low as 30$ per night?
The rates will vary depending on the type of safari that is camping , luxury, cultural or walking, the rating of the hotel and if it is a private safari or group safari. We however do not recommend agents who are offering rates below 80$ per night unless it is a home stay which should not be considerably lower than this. 30$ can hardly get 3 people a meal in any 3 star lodge or hotel leave alone a night. Also if it does get you accommodation it will most likely be equivalent to a student hostel. Such operators will than charge you for all other expenses once you arrive at a premium so that they can make their profit. Cheap could be expensive.
